Food for the soul: Tell the World about Jesus!

Filed under Food for the Soul

“He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”- 2 Corinthians 3:6

Questions:

1.       Are you competent?

2.       Are you strong to minister?

3.       Do you know the covenant?

4.       Are you saved?

5.       Are you spirit filled?

6.       Are you worthy to serve the Lord?

You may not competent but God has chosen us to be competent, and in Jesus all things are possible. We are strong if we have the Lord in our Life, if we continue to welcome God and let Him take control, we are save if we believed in Jesus Christ as lord and follow his righteousness, being worthy is just simply being in the hands, in the righteousness of God…. It’s worthy if  we stay in His light.

Ministering the word of God is the most essential work in life, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior did His part in the cross for us to be saved and be freed from sins. God’s grace is infinite and so his love endures forever.

Jesus is the way, truth and life…the truth is in Him…it’s in His words, in the Holy Scriptures. So then for us that has heard His voice, let us carry his words in our hearts and let it overflow from our mouth in declaring and proclaiming God’s work of salvation, His grace, His love, and in along the way…with His Spirit that guides us, strengthen us, teaches us, and direct us to minister to others.

Are you ready!

Tell the world that Jesus is God!!!

Be strong in the name of the Lord!

food for the Soul: How Do We Know that We are SAVE???

Filed under Food for the Soul

HOW DO WE KNOW IF WE ARE SAVED?

God has not left us in the dark when it comes to knowing if we are saved. 1 John 5:13 states, “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”
The question is, “What is written so that we can know we are saved?”
From Acts 2:38 and Ephesians 1:13, we see that when we repent and believe we receive the Holy Spirit and the following verses tell us that it is through the Spirit that we know we belong to Jesus.
1 John 3:24 says, “… this is how we know that he lives in us; We know it by the Spirit he gave us.”
1 John 4:13 says “We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.”
From these verses we can see that our assurance of salvation comes from the presence of the Spirit in our life.

Be bless!

Be Save!

Food for the Soul: Even the saints did not claim to be worshipped!

Filed under Food for the Soul

 Worship God  Alone

Reading: Revelation 22:1-9

“You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honour and power; for You created everything” (Rev 4:11)

God uses human instruments of His choice in revival. We should not hero-worship them.

The man at the Beautiful gate but in an awful state presented a great challenge to Peter and John who had just experienced revival fires. God used Peter and John to perform an instant miracle on this born lame. Folks were greatly amazed and they ran to Peter and John. When Peter saw it he said, “Why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?” (Acts 3:12). Both the preachers and the people are responsible to see that no man is idolized.

Quite unusual to the military way of saluting, Cornelius fell down at Peter’s feet and worshipped him. “But Peter lifted him up, saying, Stand up; I myself am also a man” (v 26). The vehicle which brings God’s blessing should not be worshipped. Peter rightly said, I am also a man!

God used Paul to heal a born cripple at Lystra. The people were highly excited and they shouted, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!” (Acts 14:11). They brought garlands for Paul and Barnabas and were even getting ready for sacrifices! The reaction of the apostles deserves our attention. They tore their clothes and cried out, “Men, Why are you doing these things?” (vv 14,15). God alone is worthy and we should never touch His glory. Let’s protest all religious showmanship. God sends revival with a “concern for His holy Name!” He told the people of Israel, “I do not do this for your sake, but for My holy Name’s sake” (Ezek 36:21,22). Christ must be the centre of all attraction.

John was closer to Jesus than all the other disciples. Yet he found it so difficult to learn the truth that God alone is to be exalted and worshipped. Being excited over the prophetic revelations he received through the angel, he fell down and worshipped him. Poor thing, the angel had to teach John the kindergarten lesson, “Don’t worship me, worship God!” (Rev 19:10). He repeated this blunder in the last chapter of the Bible also (22:8,9). Fortunately there is no 23rd chapter lest John worships the angel again! During times of revival when the Holy Spirit is outpoured there may be several prophetic revelations. Beware of worshipping a prophet!

Crown the Saviour! Angels, crown Him! Rich the trophies Jesus brings:

In the seat of power enthrone Him, while the vault of Heaven rings!

Be Save! Know the Truth! Accept the Truth!

God will never share His Glory to others…

Saints can’t save!!! Only JESUS CHRIST is worthy to be worship!!!!

Food for the Soul: Are you on the Road to Heaven?

Filed under Food for the Soul

Are You On the Road To Heaven?

We travel down the road of life and wonder what will come next when we die. Where will you spend eternity? What does the Bible say?

God says you cannot make it on your own.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

God says we can’t work our way to Heaven.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

God says man is headed down the road of death.

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” “Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it” (Proverbs 16:25, Matthew 7:13-14).

God says you need to turn around, you’re going the wrong way!

“… but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).

God says there is only one way to Heaven.

“Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me” (John 14:6).

God says you need to yield to Him by Believing in Jesus Christ.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).

Take the road to Heaven and avoid the road that leads to hell. You can have eternal life and your sins forgiven by receiving Christ right now. Pray this prayer to God and ask Christ into your life:

“Lord I am a sinner and I need your salvation. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins and rose again from the dead to give me eternal life. Come into my heart Lord Jesus, forgive my sins and be my Lord and Savior.”

Be Save!

Food for the Soul: Husbands and Wives Being Worthy in Serving the Lord.

Filed under Food for the Soul

Friends,

Peace be with us all in the name of Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.

Quarrels, hatred, fading love, mistakes, bitterness, jealousy etc. are the things that could affect us, could hinder us in serving the Lord with worthiness. So, in families, let us always remember, either you are a wife or a husband. No matter how prayerful we are, how devoted we are in the Lord, yet then, our hearts has something inside(to our husband/ or wife) which is not right in the presence of God. We are just wasting our time.

So if we want to be worthy in serving the Lord.

Husbands and Wives, whatever hinders us to be worthy in serving the Lord, let us not be entangled from the past, as the WORD of the LORD said.

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. Ephesians 5:22-25 22

Forgive as God has forgiven us- (Both should forgive each other) Colossians 3:13

11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.  1 John 4:11-12

LOVE– It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1Corinthians 13:5

God hates divorce! (It is written!!!)  It is only because of our sinful pride and selfish ways that we end up divorced …. The Bible clearly teaches that “love never fails.

So Christian wives and husbands!

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22

Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.

James 4: 17

Let us be worthy in serving the Lord.

Be Save! Be Blessed!

Food for the Soul: Do Not Be a Friend of The World

Filed under Food for the Soul

JAMES 4:4 You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

 Question:

What are examples of being a friend of the world?

      ·        Worldly -of, relating to, or devoted to this world and its pursuits rather than to religion or spiritual affairs

·        the key word of being in the world is living out of the will and plans of God.  These equals to “Disobedience” and to God, primarily, disobedience to Gods commands is “SIN”.

Being a friend of the world:

·        Instead of Going to church, a person prioritized other business rather than God.

·        Physical pleasure rather than spiritual nourishment. (Beer Party rather than bible study)

·        Being focused all your time to your pet, car, house, studies, loved ones, carrier, drugs, women, casino, gossipping, pervert talks or foul words etc.

·        Pleasing people rather than pleasing God.

It hurts and painful but this is the truth; the only reason why God laid this truth is for us to be prepared for the coming of the Lord, for us to be ready in the coming judgment.

Hebrew 12:11No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

So brothers and sisters, this is what the Lord purely says, and no need for me to expound. And I believed all who claim themselves christians are those people who believed in the BIBLE as the Word of God, a Holy Scripture.

1 John 2:15-17   15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

Simple, if all those things in the world will catch your attention, and you get out of focused to the Lord…it will take you away from the hand of God.

Be blessed! Focused to the Lord, in His word, And Be Save!

Food for the Soul: Repentance

Filed under Food for the Soul

Sometime we wonder why it’s so hard to follow God, so hard and can’t pray, can’t change your way in the way that pleases the Lod.

Let us be bless by the word of the Lord for today…and examine ourselves so that we can truelly and fully obey the Lord.

   Matthew 3:8

(8) Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,

  Mark 1:4

(4) John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

  Mark 1:15

(15) and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

  Mark 6:12

(12) So they went out and preached that

people should repent.

  Luke 3:8

(8) Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as

our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

  Luke 13:4-5

(4) Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all

other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? (5) I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”

  Acts 2:38

(38) Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

  Acts 3:19

(19) Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

  Acts 17:30

(30) Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,

  2 Peter 3:9

(9) The Lord is not slack concerning

His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

The original words in the Hebrew and Greek from which “repent” and “repentance” are translated, mean to turn, to change direction. And true repentance is exactly that. It is a complete about-face from disobedience toward God to obedience, love, and cooperation with Him.

True “repentance” is coming to a full realization that we have rebelled against our Maker—against His way and His righteous law. It means that we come to abhor ourselves for our self-willed, rebellious, sinful past. We must be truly broken up and ready now, with God’s help, to bury our old natures, quit sinning, quit rebelling, and submit to God with all our hearts.

The time of repentance is the crisis of your life. It is the turning point in your entire destiny!

When we are finally brought to real repentance, we mean business. We are ready, in every phase of our lives, to say: “Yes, Lord. Your will be done.” In real repentance, we have become completely sick and tired of our own selfish ways. We are truly sorry for our sins—and we are ready and willing to make a permanent change. We are now ready to “turn around and go the other way”—God’s way.

Learning this great lesson of our own helplessness, misery and inadequacy apart from God is a vital step toward attaining the real purpose of our lives. Once we have learned this, our Creator can begin the process of creating spiritual character in us by placing within us His Holy Spirit—His nature—that will give us the spiritual power to conquer and overcome the inordinate Satan-inspired pulls of the mind and flesh.

Repent!!! and Sin No More!!!

 Be Save!!!

Deuteronomy 4:11-24

“God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship

in spirit and in truth” (Jn 4:24)

We have no problem in understanding the first of the Ten Commandments: “You shall have no other gods before Me.” Why do we stumble over the second: “You shall not make for yourself any carved image?” (Ex 20:2-6). Three things God has forbidden here concerning images: Don’t “make” them or “bow” before them or “serve” them! If we are careless at the first step, we are sure to end up in idolatry.

The primary lesson we need to learn about God is that He is “Spirit” (Jn 4:24). Moses stressed this point to the people, “The Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of the words, but saw no form; you only heard a voice… Take careful heed to yourselves… lest you act corruptly and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of any figure” (Dt 4:12-19). God has given us statutes, not statues. Pictures are not much different from statues. One is 2-dimensional and the other is 3-dimensional. The difference is only geometrical.

What about Sunday School pictures and Gospel films then? Well, they are used to explain to children and non-Christians the “earthly” life of Jesus. They must grow to believe on the heavenly Christ.

Both the Bible history and Church history abound with sad instances where “good” things became idols. An ephod became an object of worship for even a man like Gideon and his family (Judg 8:27). People were worshipping the bronze serpent that Moses had made until King Hezekiah broke it into pieces (2 Ki 18:14).

We Indian Christians must be exceptionally cautious because idolatry is in the very fabric of our Nation. Take an inventory of your houses and Church buildings. Throw away all unscriptural things. Break them, bury them or burn them.

God is our Maker; how could we His handwork presume to make an attempt to portray Him? Should you be interested to know how Jesus looks like now, read from the Book of Revelation (1:12-16; 2:1,12,18; 3:1; 5:6; 19:12,13). There you have the latest and authorized portrait of Jesus: Head full of crowns. Hair like white wool and snow. Eyes like a flame of fire. Feet like fine brass. A sharp sword in the mouth. Face shining like sun. Seven stars in the right hand. Robe dipped in blood. Try if you can capture this splendour with paint and brush! I-m-p-o-s-s-i-b-l-e!

We walk by faith and not by sight!

Food for the Soul: Bored at Work!???

Filed under Food for the Soul

Colossians 3:23

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,

I believed that this is the right thing to remember in times of troubles, boring or idle moments at work, in the office or in any areas at work.

You may have:

  • An always angry or high tempered boss.
  • Work loads or nothing to do.
  • Bad relationship, no peace, or no good team work with your colleagues.
  • Tired and stressed up with life at work and many more.

If we go back before we got our job, we do pray to the Lord. We asked Him, Lord whatever job it is, it may be hard, just give me.

Some got the job easily but still have the same feeling on what is written on the above remarks.

And because of those boringness, idleness moments, with mad boss or office mates, we do complained to the Lord. And did not do our task nicely or our performance became poor.

Let us always remember that:

  • Our work is from the Lord, it is a gift from God, so we need to treasure it.
  • As a Christian, we are scattered with a purpose to share the good news of salvation, to be a light that they may see Christ Jesus in us.
  • We are placed by God to be a salt and a light, and that we make a difference as children of the Lord.
  • Meaning, we can pray for them if they are always angry, or whatever negative thing we see. Or testify the goodness of God to them.
  • Be thankful about those trials at work, with loads, and irritating colleagues because in that sense you may endure those trials, you may harvest patience, self control, and all those fruit of the Holy Spirit.
  • As we go along with idle moments, God is waiting for us to have a one on one talk to Him. Take time to say hello to the Lord.
  • Don’t get late, don’t cut hours, send your reports on time because our job is comes from the Lord.
  • Smile when you come at work, pray before you start.

All in our life is God’s plan, He wants us to prosper (Jeremiah 29:11), He is preparing us spiritually.James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

So Cheer Up! Do it for the Lord.

Bro. ryan
